The passing of Mak, my grandma from mom's side.
My oldest sister told everyone in the siblings' WhatsApp group that Mak was sick on Friday, February 2nd. She had been staying at Ucu's house since Tuesday, when Mak Long had to leave her there in Ucu's care because she had to go somewhere for a kenduri, and it happened suddenly. Later on at her place, I found out this indirectly. Mak became ill and was taken back to Mak Long's residence. She refused food and liquids, which made her condition worse. Mak Long took her to a clinic on Friday night, where she received an IV drip. She was diagnosed with fluid in her lung at that time. And then they took her home. My sister, Kak Na, and I had already made plans to visit Mak in the south. I had to acknowledge that, deep down, I was already feeling incredibly bad about not seeing her more often.
